Almas was a young orphaned girl who lived her life in Ethiopia. At 14 years Almas died of AIDS. Adopted by the Missionaries of Charity Sisters in Ethiopia, Almas was known for her giving heart. She shared and cared for other children out of the little that she had. But Almas was to make a difference far beyond what she or anyone could have imagined. Irish diocesan priest Fr Brian Kavanagh founded a children’s charity he named after Almas. Fr Kavanagh tells the moving story of how the witness of little Almas has transformed his life and the lives of countless children across three continents.
