Host: Kathy Sinnott with Jacob Rees Mogg MP and Peadar Tóibín TD
Two statesmen on opposing ends of the political spectrum. Both patriots, one British the other Irish. One nationalist one unionist. One socialist the other a capitalist. One working class, the other privileged. One pro-Brexit the other opposed. Both have two important things in common - both are Catholics and both are passionately pro-life.
Jacob Rees Mogg, British Conservative MP, is tipped by many to be the next British Prime Minister. Peadar Tóibín TD is the leader of Ireland’s newest Irish Republican Political Party, Aontú which means 'unity and consent’. Today we examine both statesmen to understand their values when it comes to issues important to Catholics, christians and people of good will.
