L’Arche is an international network of communities for those with intellectual disabilities. It was founded in 1964 by former Navel officer Jean Vanier in Trolly France. Sadly Jean Vainer died this week at age 90. In what may be the last in-depth interview with Vainer, he talked to Kathy Sinnott about how he was led to begin L’Arche - and about his close union with Christ which opened his heart to those often forgotten people embraced by L’Arche.
