Host: Kathy Sinnott with guests Bishop John Keenan, Bishop Alphonsus Cullinan and Fr. Gabriel Harty RIP
Part 1. One year ago on the May 25th a referendum was held in Ireland on the question of abortion. Two thirds of the electorate voted to remove protection for the unborn from the Irish constitution. It was a dark moment in the history of Ireland. This week we hear from three bishops reflecting on the life issue in Ireland and Britain. Bishop John Keenan from Paisley Scotland speaking at the recent national March for Life in London. Bishop Alphonsus Cullinan, diocese of Waterford and Lismore Ireland - and Bishop Stephen Robson of Dunked diocese Scotland.
Part 2. Dominican priest Fr. Gabriel Harty, better known as ‘the Rosary Priest of Ireland’, passed away peacefully on May 9th. Fr Harty was well known throughout Ireland for his many writings, CDs and pamphlets always with an emphasis on the rosary. From the archives, an interview with Fr. Gabriel Harty RIP.
