St. Andrews in Scotland is the place from which the Catholic roots of the nation spring. July 5th marked the 700th anniversary of the consecration of the great cathedral of St. Andrews, brought to ruin during the Reformation. Bishop Stephen Robson of the Dunkeld diocese spoke a powerful and sobering message at the anniversary mass in which he reflected on the state of the Church in the 21st century. His message is featured in today’s show, in which we take a look at the faith in Scotland. Paul MacAree visits Edinburgh - and Dougie and Margaret Hunter, founders of Scotland’s New Dawn Conference, held annually in St. Andrews. In light of Bishop Robson’s message, they discuss signs of renewal in modern day Scotland.
