Sep 8th - Fr. Patrick McCafferty grew up in Belfast Northern Ireland. As a child he experienced sexual abuse - and again later as a seminarian further abuse from a priest. Fr. McCafferty recounts his difficult journey involving bringing his abuser to justice - and catastrophic failures of those in local church leadership. He was one of eight abuse survivors who met Pope Francis on his recent historic visit to Ireland for the World meeting of Families.
