Celtics Hit Rock Bottom... AGAIN
It seems like every game during this west coast road trip has been a new rock bottom for this Celtics team. This was a game where, offensively, we couldn't get anything going against the Suns. 3 players in double digits with Tatum leading the pack at 24 points but this is another horrible shooting performance for him. He started off hot scoring 12 points in the first 6 minutes of the game and only scored 12 points in the remaining 28 (he played 34 minutes) and that is a huge issue. He finished shooting 1-7 from 3 and was the only starter that made a single 3 all night. I know that people want to blame Udoka for a lot of this but the fact of the matter is this; Udoka is not on the court and is not hitting shots. Have his rotations been great? No they haven't BUT when other bench players have got in, they haven't taken advantage of the opportunity either.
Last year everyone jumped on Brad for being too "soft" for not calling out players and now people are criticizing Udoka for calling them out too much. At some point, fans need to put some of the blame on the team and realize it isn't working. I know this team has talent and I still genuinely believe they are capable of way more than we are seeing but I'm really hoping Udoka switches things up a but. Start taking people out when they complain. Switch up the starting unit and get Schroder coming off of the bench to provide actual bench scoring. Start doing things that will put the team in a position to succeed. There's a lot of work to be done. End Rant (Listen to the Podcast to hear it all)
