Well this one started off as ugly as it gets. Celtics found themselves down 7 after the first, down 13 at half and down as much as 29 in the third. The Celtics actually played fairly well in the 4th but at that point it was too far gone. This loss comes down to the fact that the Celtics just couldn't hit a shot to save their lives. They shot just 36% from the field and only 23% from 3 in this one and missed several wide open shots. In a game where you play the Nets, you can't have Tatum go off and Jaylen have an off night or Jaylen go off and Tatum have an off night. You need both of your pillars to play well to stand a chance against this team and tonight neither of them played well. Jaylen is clearly still off after suffering that hamstring injury and after his comments last game about it being tight, I'm surprised he even played tonight. This was an ugly one but the Celtics need to bounce back Friday night as the face the Spurs. This is going to be a huge game to go 2 games over .500 because their December schedule is BRUTAL. It is going to be a very tough month of basketball for the Celtics so going in 2 games over .500 versus sitting at .500 is a must.
