We have now officially reached the midway mark of the NBA Regular Season. The Celtics played their 41st game of the season when they took on Lebron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers for the 2nd time this season. The last time these 2 teams met it was all the way back on Opening Night where Gordon Hayward suffered that gruesome injury just minutes into the 1st quarter and everyone immediately wrote the Celtics off as being a threat to prevent the Cavs from getting back to the NBA Finals some felt the Celtics wouldn't even make it back to the Eastern Conference Finals due to that injury. Since our last show which took place the day after the Celtics loss to the Washington Wizards back on Christmas Day. The Celtics have played 4 games. The next night after our last show the Celtics began a back to back set which saw them first travel to Charlotte to take on the Hornets. The Celtics won that game 102-91 and would then have to travel back to Boston where a rested Houston Rockets team would be waiting for them. The Celtics trailed in that game by as much as 26 points before ultimately coming back to win 99-98. After taking care of business on New Years Eve against the Brooklyn Nets to stretch their win streak to 3 the Celtics would have 2 days off before their showdown with Lebron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Celtics had every player available for this game other then Gordon Hayward which was not the case in the season opener when they had no Marcus Morris on top of losing Gordon Hayward six minutes in. The Celtics would blow out the Cavs 102-88. So what is being said now as the official midway point of the season. Are all the doubters who said the Celtics couldn't hang with the Cavs cause they got Lebron James starting to change their tune and admit the Celtics can give them a run come playoff time. Or are the people downplaying the Celtics win like they have done when they also beat the Rockets and the Warriors
