The Celtics continue to battle through injuries while trying to clinch the #2 seed in the Eastern Conference. On the last show it was announced that Marcus Smart, Daniel Theis, Kyrie Irving and Jaylen Brown were all injured and the team was now trying to focus on getting everybody healthy for the playoff run. Since our show last week things have gotten more complicated for the Celtics and their fans who were hoping for an extended playoff run this season. Daniel Theis has been lost for the season. Marcus Smart has had surgery and could return this season for the Celtics but only if the Celtics reach the 2nd or 3rd round of the playoffs. Jaylen Brown has nearly recovered from the Concussion he suffered well he lost hold of the rim on a dunk in the game against the Minnesota Timberwolves 2 weeks ago. Kyrie Irving meanwhile had to have a minor procedure done to this knee the team however did not announce a timetable for his return when it was announced he would be having the procedure done. Well Irvings procedure was done earlier today so what is the team saying now. Also outside of the injured Celtics the rest of the team had to take on the Pelicans, Thunder and Blazers. 3 of the 8 current Western Conference Playoff teams with all of those guys missing. The Celtics lost to Anthony Davis and the Pelicans before returning to Boston to pick up a major win over Russell Westbrook and the Big 3 of the Thunder in a game that saw the Celtics outscore the Thunder 6-1 in the final 17 seconds to win 100-99.
