On our recent show the Celtics were on a 7 game winning streak since then someone must have let a black cat out in the Celtics locker room cause the Celtics have had some bad luck come their way since our last show. The Celtics on our last show were on a 7 game winning streak they would push it to 8 games by beating the Atlanta Hawks 129-108 in Boston. The Celtics however would have their win streak snapped the very next night as they traveled to Detroit to take on the Pistons and lost 113-103. The Celtics would then have 3 days off before playing at home against the Phoenix Suns however the team would announced that Marcus Morris would not be able to play due to knee soreness meaning both he and Al Horford would be out. The Celtics big man situation would only get worse in the very first few minutes of the game as Aron Baynes would suffer a broken hand and would leave the game this left the Celtics with only Daniel Theis and Robert Williams on the roster as bigs and allowed the Suns to take full advantage on the glass and in the paint area to win 111-103. This was the worst time for an injury like this to happen given the Celtics upcoming schedule will feature some of the NBA's most elite bigs. The first would be just 2 nights later as the Celtics would host the Milwaukee Bucks and their star big man Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Celtics would go into that game without Horford, Baynes and Morris leaving the Celtics without any stars at the Center or Power Forward position to battle the Bucks gigantic duo or Antetokounmpo and it cost the Celtics as the Bucks dominated the glass and the paint in route to a 13 point win. The Celtics now face a situation of playing some of the leagues top teams and dont have Horford, Baynes and Morris to help. How are they gonna get through this? What is Brad Stevens saying about the injuries. We will ask our guest for the show are Derek Machen (@Machen55) of Spurszone, Chris Langseth (@Hans02421) Celtics Journalist.
