10 teams have stepped up and 10 teams have fallen victim in a row to the Boston Celtics. The Boston Celtics despite players missing time to injuries (Gordon Hayward, Robert Williams, Daniel Theis, Enes Kanter) or to sickness (Jaylen Brown) have not lost a single game since their opening night loss back on October 23rd to the Philadelphia 76ers. On our last show the Celtics were up to a 6 game win streak after having beaten the Bucks, Knicks, Cavs and Hornets. The Celtics since then played 4 games. The first of those 4 games saw the Celtics go down to San Antonio and blowout the Spurs 135-115. However the victory did come at a price as Celtics small forward Gordon Hayward suffered a dislocated hand in the 2nd quarter and would be forced to leave the game. The Celtics announced 2 days later that Hayward would need surgery and would miss about 6 weeks of action meaning he would be expected to return around Christmas time. The same night the Celtics broke the news on Haywards injury status and timeline the Celtics were back in Boston to take on the Dallas Mavericks. The Celtics despite Jayson Tatum having one of the worst games of his short career were victorious 116-106 as Kemba Walker and Jaylen Brown combined for 54 points outscoring the Mavericks star duo of Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis 54 to 38. 2 nights later the Celtics welcomed back former teammate Isaiah Thomas to TD Garden with his new team the Washington Wizards. The Celtics were victorious in a shootout 140-133 in a game that saw the Celtics have 7 players score in double figures ranging from 10 to 25 points. 2 nights later the Celtics were in GS to face the rebuilding Warriors. The Celtics despite having the worst game of the season pulled it out late 105-100 to keep the streak alive.
