The Celtics in the last week have had a chance to prove something to 2 of the teams they faced in last seasons NBA Playoffs. The Celtics faced off with the Toronto Raptors for the 1st time since the Celtics eliminated the Toronto Raptors from the playoffs with a 92-87 Game 7 win in last years Eastern Conference Semi Finals back on September 11th. This game had all the advantages going to the Toronto Raptors heading into the game. From the Celtics playing on the 2nd night of a back to back after beating the Detroit Pistons a night before which was 2 nights after the Pistons beat the Celtics in their 1st game of a mini series et. Toronto was rested and Boston would be missing several key players for this game. Yet the Celtics would blowout the Raptors by going up by over 20 points before settling for a 126-114 win. 2 nights later the Celtics would take on the Miami Heat for the 1st time this season and the 1st time since the Heat eliminated the Celtics with a 125-113 win in game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals giving the Heat the right to go to the NBA Finals and giving the Celtics their 3rd conference finals loss in the last 4 years. The Celtics would walk away vcitorious 107-105 after a Payton Pritchard buzzard beating putback off a Marcus Smart miss. This game saw Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown outduel the Heats duo of Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo by a final smount of 48 to 41 and the Boston bench fall 1 point short of matching up the Miami bench which was a critical battle in last years Conference Finals. 2 nights later the Celtics would take on the Washington Wizards in Boston. However multiple Celtics players as well as players from other teams were being forced into quarantine due to covid-19 testing.
