Centering is the practice of moving from the core or center of the body outward. It is the fourth Pilates principle and a general principle of efficient movement. It is also a principle that we can choose to implement outside of our Pilates practice to guide us in making more embodied choices and to lead our lives with greater awareness and conviction.
