Shari is a writer, educator, and cultural thinker focused on how humans remain grounded in times of rapid change. With degrees in Economics and Organizational Behavior from Stanford University, she began her career in corporate America before founding a cause-oriented marketing company serving America’s parks. She is the author of The Book of Modern Ceremony and creator of A Year of Ceremony on Substack. Her work centers on a simple but powerful idea: we are not lost, we are un-ritualized. In an era that accelerates tasks but neglects meaning, Shari teaches that ceremony is the emotional infrastructure that helps humans process experience, access inner wisdom, and stay connected to one another.
