Maya finds herself imprisoned on an experimental spacecraft with Tim and Simone (aka Serene), heading to the asteroid belt. Simone reveals her true identity and the fact the craft they have been marooned on by Daniel Johnson (aka Amos) is heading for Ceres. But Ceres is not where it is supposed to be. Instead, it is falling toward the sun in an orbit that could become disastrous for both the Terrans and the Triffel.
