It's fair to say that true crime content across the web has exploded over the last 5 years. The dawn of high end Netflix productions such as Making a Murder, The Confession Tapes , and a raft of podcasts such as Serial have wet our appetites for a glimpse into a deep and dark underworld of murder and injustice. Almost like a vice to the law abiding citizen, within the comfort of our own homes, and within the confines of our comparatively stable lives, we learn about some of the most horrific acts a human being can carry out.
The genre has taken the world by storm, but as a keen viewer of such content, never did I imagine that I would be so engrossed in a series that was based on a truly tragic event that took place less than a mile from this very studio in Cardiff.
This week I'm joined by Ceri Jackson, the producer and writer of Shreds: Murder in the Dock, one of, if not the best podcast I've ever subscribed to. If you haven't listened to Shreds, before you go any further listening to me on this series, please listen to Ceri's jaw dropping 13 part podcast , and come back to listen to this.
