Luke 1:1-4

Here we are! We are settling into the Gospel of Luke and will be here for some time. Unique to Luke’s gospel is the official prologue written to an individual named Theophilus. He has been taught concerning the gospel of Jesus Christ and Luke wants him to have certain assurance concerning what he’s learned. Thus Luke has compiled his book in such a way to bring about that certainty. Main Idea: That Luke’s audience should grow in certainty about what has been fulfilled in the work of Jesus.
