Imagine Hip Hop without sampling; without the loop from Chic's "Good Times" as the soundscape to "Rapper's Delight". I don't know about you, but my mind can't even work out or imagine those thoughts. Artists and producers have been sued, criticized and ridiculed for sampling; mostly by people that don't understand or are not of the culture. However, even inside the culture of Hip Hop there are differences of opinion on sampling and its validity. For example, there are those of us that reward the Just Blazes of the world and shame the Puff Daddys. Aren't they both sampling? So what makes a Hip Hop purist look at them differently? Maybe it's not that they sample but HOW they do it. There are tons of hairs to split on this topic and we take aim at them all. This show gets deep. Deep as the mind of the abyss. Now how many emcees must get dissed? I couldn't help myself lol. Enjoy the show and make room for the tag...#ConversateForAFew
