About the Guests

Audrey Lichter is the founding Executive Director of Chai Mitzvah, a national Jewish engagement program launched in 2009. As of 2021 Chai Mitzvah has engaged over 8,000 individuals throughout North America, both adults and teens,  and over 1,500 people in Israel.  She has been a professional Jewish educator for more than 30 years. For 16 years, Audrey was the founding principal of Yachad, the award-winning community High School of Greater Hartford, which had over 300 students from across the spectrum of the Jewish community. As a lay leader, Audrey was on the founding board and President of the Hebrew High School of New England ( now NEJA)  and she is the founder of the Jewish Day School Consortium of Southern New England. Audrey along with other lay leaders founded Ohavy Shalom, a pluralistic congregation. She is the recipient of numerous community awards including the Charter Oak Visionary Award and the Shuch Award from the Bess and Paul Sigel Hebrew Academy. She and her husband live on Block Island Rhode Island and  in Hartford CT. They have 3 grown children and 6 grandchildren.

As Managing Director of Chai Mitzvah, Nina Woldin works to build community through small group engagement with adults and teens, both in person and virtually. She has worked in Jewish education for more than 3 decades, creating student materials and programs for all ages, pre-K – adult. Her work has been published by Behrman House, Ktav, Kar Ben Publishing, Addison Wesley and Grolier. She wrote and designed gallery guides for the education department of the Jewish Museum in New York. Nina created one of the first online Jewish education resource centers, Yourpage.org, which became part of Jewish National Fund’s website in 2003. As a lay leader, Nina was on the board of  Solomon Schechter Day School of Essex and Union in West Orange, NJ (now Golda Och Academy). She and her husband live on a sailboat in the Hudson River. They have 3 grown children and 4 grandchildren.
