Chances are, you or someone you know has been catcalled. Street harassment, unwanted public interactions of a sexual nature, is still very prevalent in 2020. So much so that when Sophie Sandberg created Catcalls of NYC, a school project to address her own experiences, she’d planted the seeds for what would grow into a worldwide movement. Sophie joins us this week to discuss Catcalls of NYC, Chalk Back, and the powerful method of raising awareness to this widespread issue that she found in public chalk art.
