What if I were to tell you that society today encourages you to keep in contact with the abusers and people connected to them?

Today, I can tell you society does the complete opposite. What do I mean by that? Well, you spend years or even over a decade within a certain family. You might have created those friendships that might also say they are "neutral."I'm sorry, but when there is trauma you can't be "neutral." There is a choice to be made. If you have friendships that keep going back and forth between you and a person that damaged you deeply, why would you want them in your circle?The only thing it does, is it simply keeps that door open, for those individuals to have access to you. Let's be honest. You share something, then they simply go back to that other person and tell them exactly what was said or they can simply be that individual that simply strives on drama. The whole "he said, she said," and then tells it to a third party. What then? There's many of your names in each other's mouth, so for now, let me continue sharing mine.
