Dr. Muto will be discussing the spectrum of infections caused by Clostridium Difficile bacteria. She will also talk about the factors that go into the available treatment options for patients with Clostridium Difficile infections and review the changing pattern of antibiotic resistance in this type of bacteria. Dr. Muto is from the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and School of Medicine, where she is currently Medical Director of Infection Prevention and Hospital Epidemiology as well as Associate Professor of Medicine and Epidemiology, Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.
