Alan Shuptrine is a nationally acclaimed artist in watercolor and other forms - including sculpture, oil gold leaf, wood carving and etching. Last fall, he collaborated with Jennifer Pharr Davis on - “I Come From A Place” - a coffee table book in which his watercolors and her prose evoke what we know and love about Appalachia.
