Is there a generational gap in dentistry? We think yes and that we should be aware of it. Not to divide but to improve and learn from each other.
Each generation has its own characteristics regarding workplace attitudes, general consciousness, and ways of life. In this episode we discuss the new generation:
- Sense of fairness
- Work hours
- Acknowledgment
- Work environment needs
- Mental health awareness
- Human and social skills
- Boundaries
- Work-life balance
- Work responsibility
Our goal is not to label the new generations, is simply to put things in perspective and aknowledge change. Diverse perspectives are a strength, but they can also cause tension, especially if members of different generations often have very different expectations of one another and approach challenges in very different ways.
