About our Guest:
Layla A. Ramirez is an Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity (ID&E) practitioner at Amazon Web Services (AWS), a global cloud service provider. During her tenure at AWS, Layla has built, scaled, and managed leadership development programs to address the needs of early, mid-career, and executive-level Latinx talent across the globe. Most recently her work has focused on re-imagining and transforming the onboarding and first-year experience of Black, Latinx, Native American, and Women talent globally.
Layla joined AWS after having held ID&E positions at Netflix, Danaher Corporation, and Management Leadership for Tomorrow (MLT). Prior to launching her career as an inclusion practitioner, Layla spent several years as an Analyst in the Global Wealth & Investment Management division at Merrill Lynch.
Layla holds a B.A. degree in Economics from Smith College and an MBA from Harvard Business School. She is passionate about leadership, diversity, college access, coaching and ultimately enabling others to be the best version of themselves.
Layla is based out of Brooklyn, NY, where she lives with her partner.
