In response, Israeli fighter jets, unmanned aerial vehicles and tanks hit Hamas positions near-daily, all-the-while refraining from targeting Islamist militants to avoid a wider-escalation. In tandem; Mediators from Egypt and Qatar have not yet succeeded in resuming the ceasefire.
