Celebrating Juneteenth, Anqwenique will sing for Chamber Music Pittsburgh in the Pittsburgh Performs Voices of Pittsburgh series!

Anqwenique talks with Jim Cunningham about the music on the program including Errol Garner's Misty with new lyrics. The program also includes music by Jessie Montgomery, Daniel Bernard Roumain, Cecile McLorin Salvant, and Nicole Mitchell. Anqwenique updates Jim about her many places to make music including as Interim Director at Hope Academy. She highlights the long standing partnership Hope Academy has with Chamber Music Pittsburgh.

Anqwenique discusses her other regular concerts in Wilkinsburg, and about her experience with Yoga in Your Roots on Location. She was recognized for her service to the Garfield community this past year as well! She is looking forward to the upcoming season of Chamber Music Pittsburgh in the fall.

You can hear "Anqwenique and Friends Celebrate Juneteenth" on Saturday, June 14th at East Liberty Presbyterian Church at 2 pm. They will also perform on Thursday, June 19th at Emerald City at 7:30 pm.
