Chanan Beizer’s graphic novel The Golem of Venice Beach is being crowdfunded now on Kickstarter for the second story. For the project, he teamed up with several artists, including Frank Quitely, David Mack, Jae Lee, Howard Chaykin, Stan Sakai, Dean Haspiel, Juan José Ryp, Nick Dragotta, & Das Pastoras, and Vanesa Cardinali.
The book tells the story of the golem who was created in 16th Century Europe living a lonely existence in contemporary California. Book 2 will again be an oversized deluxe hardcover and is a whopping 184 pages (32 more than Book 1, also available for purchase in this campaign!). It picks up directly where the first volume left off in Venice Beach, California.
There’s also a whimsical backup story, bonus artwork, and a stunningly evocative wraparound cover by comics titan Frank Quitely. Returning main artist Vanessa Cardinali's (Destiny, NY)vibrant style continues to expand the world of The Golem of Venice Beach.
From start to finish, across Book 1 and Book 2, Vanessa has completed over 260 total pages of evocative art—a herculean feat!
