The Wallace International Piano Festival is on in Auckland next week. It targets university and high school students, providing an opportunity for them to enjoy the company of other young pianists, to learn from world-class teachers and to enjoy some wonderful recitals. There's also a competitive side, this year open to under 18 year olds. Artistic Director Rae de Lisle explains how hard it's been to narrow 25 applications down to 16 for the semi finals.
