Georgia Monaghan grew up in Newcastle as the daughter of a coal mining engineer but now she’s on the coalface of the climate crisis in a very different way. A former lawyer turned climate strategy consultant, she spent five years at Pollination before turning her own burnout into a blueprint for change. In 2024, Georgia Co-Founded ECOMIND, Australia’s leading youth climate mental health and wellbeing charity, working to empower young Aussies to sustainably care for themselves, each other and the planet. A Kenneth Myer Innovation Fellow with a Masters in Climate from Columbia University, Georgia now serves on the Board of the Australian Youth Climate Coalition. She believes that emotions are both the gateway and barrier to climate action and that a sustainable planet starts with sustainable minds.

They dive into practical shifts (like truly listening over a cuppa to spark trust) while debunking bully-boy myths and celebrating ripples of empathy that benefit people, planet, and profits. Thoughtful, warm, and genuinely uplifting, this episode reveals how small acts of humanity can reshape leadership for a kinder, more connected future.
In this episode of Change Loves Company, host Dominique sits down with Justin Medcalf, co-founder of UNLESS Financial, to unpack what our money is really doing when we’re not paying attention. From the inspiration behind the name “Unless” (a powerful line from Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax) to the realities of ethical investing, greenwashing, and shareholder activism, Justin explains why money is never neutral and how it can either reinforce the status quo or help drive real social and environmental change.
They explore superannuation choice in Australia, the myths around ethical investing underperforming, the role of regulation, and how everyday people can use tools, transparency, and collective action to align their finances with their values. The conversation widens to climate urgency, stranded assets, critical minerals, and the long-term future we are building for the next generation.

This conversation is a powerful reminder that creativity isn’t a luxury, it’s medicinal, transformative and deeply needed right now.
In this episode of Change Loves Company, host Dominique and Maz Ahadiwand dive deep into what Responsible Fundraising actually looks like in practice beyond good intentions.
Maz explains responsible fundraising as a conscious, ethical, and sustainable approach that considers the full end-to-end impact of fundraising decisions on donors, beneficiaries, fundraisers, and the organisation itself. Rather than replacing existing systems, her framework helps organisations connect leadership, compliance, donor care, staff capacity, environmental impact, and long-term strategy so fundraising is consistent, values-aligned, and easier to sustain.
The conversation explores common sector challenges: siloed teams, reactive decision-making, pressure to chase “shiny new” tactics, burnout, and an over-reliance on short-term financial metrics. Maz and Dominique discuss why Responsible Fundraising must be embedded from the top down, measured in more than just income, and supported by feedback loops that actually lead to change.
They also reflect on the importance of donor experience moving away from guilt and scarcity, toward trust, transparency, respect, and the joy of giving and how Responsible Fundraising can improve retention, staff wellbeing, and long-term impact.
Maz shares how the framework is being piloted and invites the sector to collaborate, test, and evolve responsible fundraising as a shared practice rather than a one-off initiative.
