Motivation from the now famous Dancing Dad In this interview, Kennith Thomas, known as the Dancing Dad, shares his motto “Change the Mind, Change the Game”. First, Kennith shares that in 2018, his son 14 month old son Kristian, born with Down Syndrome, was diagnosed with a form of leukemia. Next Kennith explains how he danced by the side of the crib to encourage his son while getting treatment. Thankfully, Kristian’s recovery, projected to take around 300 days, took half that time. In Kennith's initial viral video, he dances for Kristian to Ciara’s song "Level Up". Furthermore, Emily and Kennith talk about families and relationships. They also discuss how to bring positivity into our lives. In addition, they talk about the importance of fathers and positive male figures in their children's lives. Kennith explains the need for structure in our daily schedule, especially during this coronavirus pandemic. In addition, Kennith reminds us that the parents set the atmosphere and tone for the day the first thing in the morning. As the Dancing Dad, Kennith combines his dancing with motivational speaking as he engages with his audience. His positive message, “Change the Mind, Change the Game”, resonates throughout all of his words and actions.
