William Seward was one of the most influential men of the 1860s. He served as both Governor of and Senator from New York, and would serve as Secretary of State under Abraham Lincoln and Andrew Johnson. A staunch abolitionist and supporter of civil rights, this episode explores the American Civil War under William Seward rather then Abraham Lincoln.
