Australian secondary school education has undergone many changes in the last twenty years. There have been ongoing calls for new curricula, new teaching and learning approaches, and the use of new technologies within and outside the classroom to improve students' learning outcomes. Professor Vaughan Prain reports on the start of a study funded by the Australian Research Council to evaluate the implementation of the Bendigo Education Plan over the next three years.
