In episode 12, Chief Development Officer Justin Ellis celebrates Fatherhood Awareness month by sharing fatherhood experiences with Foster Care Supervisor Tim Jowers. Join them as they discuss the joys and challenges of being a father from infant years to young adult, and highlight the importance of consistency throughout this journey.

In our 9th episode, COO Anthony Jones celebrates Social Work month with Operations Director Cherish Fields. Cherish explains how social work chose her, why it’s critical to plant seeds in others, and how it’s okay to go against the grain.

In our 8th episode, our COO Anthony Jones celebrates Family Support Month with Family Education Specialist Alicia Rosas from our Family Education program. They discuss the types of parenting classes and support groups the team facilitates; all with the goal of strengthening the parent-child relationship and prevent child abuse.

Alicia is a native Spanish-speaker and facilitates programs in Spanish and truly enjoys supporting Latino families as they acclimatize to and build a life in Charlotte.

In our seventh episode, our COO Anthony Jones chats with Professional Mentor Anthony Kyles from our Friends of the Children program. Between the two Anthonys we find out what a professional mentor does, how the Friends of the Children program impacts youth, and how the community can support.
