When the necessities for survival are taken care of, we spend a lot of our free time engrossed in storytelling than doing anything else. Stories often talk about a struggle or a victory. A good story often has both, a struggle and a victory. Sometimes the stories we know best have been written by others. We find ourselves living the life of a character in which we did not create. In order for us to move forward with our lives, we have to learn how to delete old stories/ old narratives of oppression and hatred from our minds And replace them with new stories of victory and hope.
In todays Lifestyle Tonik: Cultural session, we are going to talk about a cultural narrative that has shaped our history. But also how we can re-write our own stories.
