India has evacuated non-essential personnel from the Indian High Commission in Bangladesh as the security situation gets out of control. This has, perhaps never happened before since the formation of Bangladesh. Family members and others from India's consulates across several cities in Bangladesh are also returning to India at a time when there are reports of a purge taking place within the country within the army and police.
