Alrighty then, we’re back for another exciting adventure here on the Chaotic Navigator podcast. I am Mark Weisman, the Alaska Outlaw and I’ll be your host in a journey of understanding, encouragement, and hopefully enlightenment. This week we have teamed up with another great resource to provide a different perspective. Today I have the honor of introducing John Davis.

Whether you are mobile in/on a vehicle, or walking through a mall area, having your wits about you gives you a much better chance against the many potential threats within our dynamic zones. More than just putting down your phone, but actually assessing the world around us.

In this episode of the podcast, the Alaskan Outlaws discuss the pros and cons of including technology in our preps, to include some other critical thinking about the proper care and understanding with storing the technology. The outlaws also discuss our need to control our dependency on modern technology by peeling back the decades of discovery to utilize those tools to eliminate the need of electricity.

In this episode we revisited the outside and inside perimeters within our defensive strategies for our homes. We looked at potential threats to the different levels of this perimeter, and hopefully gave some ideas as to how we are going to fix them. We also talked about making sure everyone within your group understands what the perimeter is, and how to use it.

In this episode the Alaskan Outlaws tackle the necessary skillset of situational awareness. Being able to be aware of situations before the arise improves our chances of successful survival by almost half. The group talks about the needs to be aware of our surroundings, even in highly populated areas. Whether we are moving in a vehicle, or traveling by foot, being aware of suspicious situations before they enlarge is a big key to winning. However, there remains a balance between being hypervigilant and being over-zealous, knowing that threshold is really what makes us successful in our bids to remain safe and secure.

In this episode the team discusses the differences between living in a single residence home, versus that of multiple families, or apartment/condos type of arrangements. We’ll discuss some additional topics that need to be considered when sharing a limited pool of resources among a certain number of apartments, like power or water. We’ll broach the subject about the potential of someone breaking in via the walls, ceilings, or even floors and how to protect against it. The team will tackle these thoughts from a cataclysmic event through the recovery stage. So, lend us your ear and we will drop the message on you about getting and staying safe.

In this episode the Outlaw tackles the idea of taking some of the responsibility of raising the future generations back from other local authorities, whether that be the police or teachers, or even judges. As part of our society we have a responsibility to assisting in a future generation who will continue the growth of human existence in a positive way. The trickle effects to our children’s behaviors within society are long reaching and can be detrimental to both them, and the society in which they call home.

In this podcast the Alaska Outlaw addresses the nuclear football of the political hot button of gun control. The Outlaw discusses safety measures that we should all be using regarding the use of firearms within our defense strategies while reminding us that responsible gun ownership means maintaining an aura of safety around and with firearms within the home. During our discussion he opens the Pandora’s box of the polarity caused by this topic by identifying some common sense gun safety items.
