What I enjoyed most was figuring out the audio side of it. I converted audio into TOP signals and remapped them as a displacement map. From there, I built both simple and more convoluted signal paths to drive the visuals.
In a way, it became a hybrid between an audio-reactive system, glitch art, and fast-paced motion design.
