CHAPPO is a Brooklyn-based psych-rock band. With their new, John Vanderslice-produced record, the group covers tricky emotional and musical ground, all without losing their joyous stride. Lead singer Alex Chappo is a force to be reckoned with, and surely an apt setup for the mania of their tourmates’ The Flaming Lips’ frontman, Wayne Coyne this year. The band dropped by Serious Business Music in DUMBO, Brooklyn to give us a somewhat contained taste of what they’ve got going on.
