He is the Potter but we are the clay. Clay in itself has no attraction but very useful in making of various vessels, pots, etc. The word of the Lord came to Jeremiah - go to the potter's house and there I will speak to you a word. The prophet got there only to meet the potter at work undertaking a project. From. Where Jeremiah was standing g he could not appreciate exactly what the Potter was making out of the clay but he was sure he was doing a project, he wrought a work on the wheels. The wheels are turning around, the clay is being placed on it to shape the clay but it is the Potter who has the original design in his head and so his hand guides the vessel formation as the clay is placed on the wheels. God is the Potter. We are the Clay. But the World we live in is the wheels. The wheels of life keeps turning us around, but the hand of the Potter is taking advantage of the wheels to turn us into something beautiful. Surely, the Potter is not playing with the clay. He has a purpose. He has said, "I know the thoughts that I think towards you. Thoughts do good and not evil, to give you peace and an expected end.
