A poem 3 years removed from it’s conception. A ‘Nuyorican’ comes in many different forms. Speaking to a snapshot of sacrifice- a conversation starting, beyond compliance perspective of a people who have given so much and made so much of the little they’ve been given. In totality however, eyes that see more for a people past the labels that exist. Putting an end to colorism, classism and linguistics is personal grueling work for an island to do, let alone a nation.
A snapshot of inner-conflict.
Generational implications.
Intersectionality within intersectionality.
Nuyorican pride and the perception of limitation.
No frills.
All love.
