Two Streams Of Thought And Their Sources
There are two distinct streams of thought: one that flows from God, producing the fruit of righteousness, and one that emerges from fallen human desires, producing the fruit of rebellion. Thoughts rooted in self-interest or worldly desires often operate subtly, working through well-crafted mechanisms designed to blind and deceive us.
These thoughts are designed to lead us away from God’s desired order, pushing us into actions and decisions contrary to His will.
The notion that every action is informed by the condition of one’s thought system should fundamentally change how we perceive ourselves and the world around us. Everything in the physical realm is an extension of the mind’s inner state.
This underscores the importance of having a strong spiritual connection with Christ, for it is through this connection that we gain the power to control the environment of our minds—the seat of our thought system. Those who lack sound biblical spiritual value systems cannot understand nor maintain a healthy, well-balanced thought lifestyle, regardless of how intellectually or psychologically informed they may be.
However, this does not mean such individuals will not be opinionated. In fact, they are often the most opinionated, the loudest voices in the room, and the most persuasive. If you are not firmly grounded in what you know, they can easily convince you to adopt their beliefs and thought patterns.
Such individuals often compensate for the lack of spiritual alignment by using their assertiveness and false self-confidence to push their agenda. This paradigm goes beyond simply being ignorant, it is, however, a deep reflection of a well-seated deceptive, insecure spirit at work within them.
