After Remus and Grant commit to monogamy, Castor furiously banishes Remus from the werewolf pack. Without the pack to heal him monthly, Remus returns from transformations badly injured and Grant tends to his wounds. Remus calls Mary but hangs up when she mentions Sirius's betrayal, unable to discuss it. When Grant mentions possibly leaving, Remus has a panic attack and finally reveals that Sirius is in prison for murdering their friends and that Remus blames himself for not stopping it.
