So we're in the midst of a 10-day series DMN8 Market in 90 Days, which is a book I wrote in September of 2019. It's a roadmap, a 90-day action plan to help you get success. Today is Chapter Two: Social Media, and in this chapter, we wanted to discuss all things, social media. I'm assuming you have all of your social media profiles set up and completed, but just in case you don't make sure you have the following setup and optimized. Facebook Business Page To optimize your Facebook Business Page: Keep the page name, address, and phone number consistent with your website, Google My Business listing, and other directories that you establish. Change the URL to a customer vanity URL. Preferably you can match the URL to the page name. Fill out your profile completely, this includes a cover photo avatar, bio, and description that are complete and up to date. The key with this info is to maintain consistency across all social media channels. Use keywords throughout your page, but don't spam the page with keywords. Stay current with new features that Facebook provides to improve communication and visibility. Instagram Business Profile To optimize your Instagram Business Profile: Complete your 150-character bio using your brand voice (casual, professional, etc.), include hashtags and emojis, if possible. Optimize your profile pic for a 320-pixel square. There are many schools of thought as to whether the photos should be you or a photo of your logo. I think it depends on the type of business and who is performing the services to your customer. If everything is done by you, it should be your photo. If you have multiple employees that your customer might interact with, use a photo of your logo. Complete all data in the profile - leave nothing blank. Use Call To Action buttons by tapping Edit Profile, then Contact Option, and then Add an Action Button. Including a shortened link of your website's URL is optimal and a great way to drive traffic to your website. LinkedIn Personal Profile To optimize your LinkedIn Personal Profile: Add a personal photo of you (preferably smiling) and a cover photo 1536 by 768 pixels. Include a call to action, website, address, etc. In the cover photo if possible. List out your Job Descriptions - not your job title. No one cares that you're the President/CEO of a small business. For instance, my descriptors are: Digital Marketing Consultant | Business Growth Expert | Public Speaker | Author Use the following formula in your About Section: What I Do, Who I Work With, Why it Works, Results, How it Works, Ready to Talk. You will answer your potential prospects questions quickly and effectively while giving them a way to contact you when they are ready to reach out. Position your profile as a business card NOT a resume. YouTube Channel To optimize your YouTube Channel: Add a channel banner photo 2560 by 1440 pixels. Add an avatar to your Google account. Go to aboutme.google.com and add or change your avatar. This will be the avatar in your YouTube account. The rest of your YouTube channel is optimized through posting videos and the specific item required when posting to get them to rank. We recommend utilizing Tube Buddy - here's my affiliate link to get the free browser extension. Tube Buddy Google My Business Go to business.google.com and claim your listing if you haven't already. Make sure ALL areas are completed. Add a hundred plus photos that are named with keyword and location. (Saved to your desktop or laptop, then uploaded GMB). If you don't have a hundred plus, start with what you have then get to a hundred. Make sure you have at least five reviews - then strive to get to a hundred by getting two reviews weekly. Let's get ready to DMN8. Go to your social media accounts. Make sure they are completed. Make sure they are filled out. Make sure they are ready to go.
