With their enemies now behind them, the company of four continue their journey to The City of Gaal. Hoping to lift her spirits and bring her comfort, Charles takes Virginia to a place that he has never taken anybody else—a place of tranquility and beauty.
Although distance may have be put between them and Virginia, Dark Cry and Aniatha are far from surrendering. Heading east, they arrive at the castle of someone whom they believe can turn the tide in their favor and finally help them capture prey.
