As we wrap up Pride Month I want to re-share our first season finale which focused on The Doodler. I stumbled across this crime early on in my podcast research and knew we had to cover the story of a gay man murdering other gay men in the Castro area of San Francisco. It's so disheartening to learn how cruel police and the press were to members of the LGBTQ+ community especially back in the 70s. Had they actually cared, would this crime have been solved? Originally broadcast June 2019.
*Please note: This episode uses language some may find upsetting. This is for the purpose of historical accuracy and does not reflect mine or the cast's viewpoints. In addition, this is a repeat episode and our next season will not be returning in July
Written and narrated by Schuyler Fastenau. Additional voices by Jacob Walle, Chris Wilson, Richard Torres, Rick Junior, Steven Coe, Antonio Hill, Brandon Maple, Sandy Rose, and Daniel Jones.
