A disciplined mind is characteristic of the most effective Public Servants. Their ability to stay on point results from having learned to think before they speak. But even more fundamental than that is the habit of thinking about the right kinds of things in the first place; the disciplined mind dwells on good things and does not allow itself to dwell on the wrong things.
