In honor of Black History Month we wanted to share the story of Herbert Lee's absolutely senseless murder with the hope that the we can continue to work towards change for the better. Since we first ran this episode, I am happy to report that Derek Chauvin pleaded guilty to violating Geroge Floyd's civil rights and finally admitted to keeping his knee on George's neck even after he was unresponsive. In December 2021, Derek was sentenced to twenty-two and a half years in prison. Originally broadcast July 15, 2020.
