To be bilingual, is a blessing and a curse; especially when you approach the bilingual ability without a balance. As one language gets stronger, if you forget to exercise the other, it becomes weaker and weaker. But that's the upside of having a mother's tongue, no matter how weak it gets it's forever embedded into one's brain. And sometimes, one needs to speak in their birth language, just out of obligation, or out of promise.
